Colombia Finca La Julia
This exquisite coffee from the La Julia farm in Colombia is something very special. To start with this coffee is of the Pink Bourbon Variety which is a prized and rare variety of Arabica Coffee. The coffee originates from Colombia's Huila region but is actually an Ethiopian landrace variety. It is sought after for its sweet elegant and floral characteristics.
This coffee is fermented for 96 hours after harvesting using the anaerobic method(No oxygen present) before it is dried under a solar canopy for 15 days and the for 5 hours kin a drying silo.
The flavour notes that stand out are red fruits, cocoa, spices and sweet notes of citrus.
The coffee scored 87 out of 100 on the SCA grading scale for speciality coffees
This is one of those coffees that you just have to try out.

If I recall correctly this was the coffee you guys had on batch at the PTA Coffee Festival… if so, I remember being SHOCKED that you were giving it away as free tasters because it was one of the standouts of the day to me. I told you guys I’d come back and buy it and although I didn’t get around to it on the day I finally put in my order online and I’m still just as impressed with this coffee as I was then.
I am really pleased by the quality of your offerings. I ordered three coffees, all of which are lovely. You guys do a fantastic job at roasting your specialty offerings, and I’d say you might be one of the most underrated Roasters I’ve encountered to date. Well done you guys.
Also want to add: I love the vacuum packed & frozen approach. My coffees are extremely fresh! More roasters should follow this approach in my opinion.
